Haitabu

Alinas Klasse hat heute einen Ausflug ins Wikinger-Museum nach Haithabu gemacht und ich hatte die tolle Idee, die Klasse zu begleiten. Dieses Muesum liegt an der Schleswiger Bucht und man hat dort einen Teil der früheren Wikingerstadt und der Hafenanlage ausgegbraben und rekonstruiert. Die rekonstruierte Stadt ist wirklich toll angelegt und es gibt sogar Hobby-Wikinger, die zeigen, wie welche Arbeiten früher ausgeführt wurden.
Mein Bild beinhaltet natürlich nichts Wikinger-mäßiges. Es ist die Kirche von Schleswig am gegenüber liegenden Ufer auf unserem morgendlichen Fußmarsch zum Museum. Das Wetter war warm und sehr feucht und der Fußmarsch war echt lang. Entsprechend rund fühlen sich nun meine Füße an.
Das 2. Bild ist aber im Museum aufgenommen. Eine alte Silbermünze ... nachgemacht. Die haben tatsächlich schon damals Geld gefälscht!!

Alinas class made an excursion to a vikings museum at Haithabu (engl. Hedeby) and I had the fantastic idea to accompany her class. The museum is at the bay of Schleswig and there they dug out and old vikings town and harbour and reconstructed it. It's a very interesting area and there are some hobby vikings to show what kind of jobs they did in the past.
My first photo includes of course nothing of vikings. It's the church of Schleswig we saw on our way to the museum in the moring. The weather was warm and humdly and the walk was really long.
The second photo is made in the museum. An old silver coin ... a fake. The already faked money in those days!
